Default idoling issue

alright, well me and my buddy went down to check out htis 88 firebird, i know i know not a camaro but very similar.. this thing was in nice condition rebuilt engine only 40k miles on it and rebuilt tranny with a shift kit. flowmaster exhaust, the dual hood scoop, its black the thing is beautiful, its for my buddy not me. but theres only one problem with it thats kindof got me puzzled. when you first start it up it idols really ****ty for about 10 minutes then smooths itself out i believe its TBI but not positive. if it was a carb i would think the choke is all ****ed up, but if its a tbi i have no idea what it could be. if you could help me out thatd be great

You should take off the throttle body and clean it out really good. These constantly clog up with carbon and care should be taken in all of the ports. Good luck...

yea i had the same problem when i bought my 92 tbi. the first thing i wanted to do was adjust the choke but at the time i didnt know you cant adjust it like a carb. I jus drove it for a week since it was sitting, and it stopped doing it.
