Well i have a 89 rs and im doing the engine up now and i have a hood clearnce issue so wat do you guys like better a cowl induction or just the old school way with the air cleaner stickin out.
an is there any big pros or cons on either ways?

 

On a third-gen, cowl hoods look horrible.

I'll leave the tech stuff to people who know what they're talking about though, lol.

I think I might go with the cowl one in the first pic since I am getting that body kit anyway.

 

I have the hood in the first link but the sencond one down. I love it the only thing I would recomend is some decent hood pins. My hood corners like to flop above 60MPH so I installed pins and no more problems.

 

 

Cowl hoods don't look bad on a third gen. They are classic Camaro styling. They lookhorible on a mustang! You could always check out Summit or Harwood for a bolt on type scoop.

True, but I did not state the cowl hood makes pusstangs look bad. I said they look bad on them. The fact is when it comes to mustangs you can not polish a turd.
