I gotta 87 z28, and its got a 10bolt 3.08 rear end. I called a rearend shop and they said they could install EVERYTHING including brand new-posi track, 373 gears, and all the parts and labour for 1100$ canadian. Is that a good deal or am i getting ripped off?

 

If I were you I wouldnt go spending crazy money on a 305 car. How long do you plan to keep it, and is it in good condition? This car will only retail for 3000 in mint condition so I wouldnt bother unless it is immaculate or you think you will keep it around for a few years.

 

I definatly think i will be keeping it. And its in great conditon and only 120,000kms on the car. Its got great sound system and everything. But back to my question... Is 1100 dollars for a brand new rear end with posi track and 373 gears a good deal?

all brand new parts, and its "eaton" brand or something. And its like 800 in US

 

Well Id say that if they are reputable and have some sort of warranty then go for it. Changing rear end gears can sometimes be difficult and they could make noises if not aligned properly.
