Default full exhaust question

Right now I have everything except headers/y-pipe and ill complete my exhaust and before i spend money on 2.25" headers ti-tech edelbrock tes header/y-pipe combo, I wanted to know if i should scrap the 2.25" tubing and upgrade to 2.5" or 3".Are there really any benefits between the sizes power and sound wise? Thanks.

for a worn out 305, no real power increases. nothing noticeable if anything. But it will sound a bit deeper with the 3 inch pipeing.

3" mandrel bend from the "Y" pipe to the muffer. Also what is the size of your headers?? they should be 1 5/8 or 1 3/4 depending if it is a 305 or 350.
