fuel pump help

Default fuel pump help

okay what steps do i need to take to remove the gas tank for the dead fuel pump swap out? i know the exhaust has to come down and the heat defelctor and two cross members behind the tank is that all?

if you can take the rear out do it. its far from necessary, but it does make things easier.

so the rear end does not have to come down right? okay if so i am pulling it apart saturday,

dosent have to no. but like i said, it does make things easier. let it hang as much as you can though.

okay got most of the car apart. befo i remove the tank i noticed there was a plug on the back side of the tank mount to body of the car what is that? it leads to nothing just mounted to the inner body panel.

okay tank is out new fuel pump is in. any advice on reinstall the tank?

i see what you mean, i had to lower it down to get the tank back in.

i replaced mine, but my exhaust was all welded together. i was able to remove the rear mounts, cut the hanger on the cat, and removed the rear shocks to lower the rear to get it in. found out later the wire was just loose on the battery, but oh well. its comming down again to get a high volume pump sometime this year
