87 V6 Sport Coupe.

front bumper cover and related parts damage.

i need to know what all the parts behind the bumper cover are .

i cant find a detailed, labeled illustration showing the "proper names"
for everything so i'm not sure what to expect to pay when i go to pullapart.

i dont want any confusion over terminology at the checkout.

The bumper cover is known as the fascia. Under the fascia is the impact bar, which in many cases has a heavy layer of styrofoam to take the initial blow. The impact bar is attached to the body structure via brackets which are designed give under impact.

 

so, do the brackets mount to the front of the frame that sticks out 5 or 6 inches past the radiator support?

if thats the frame it mounts to, then my drivers side frame is pushed back about even with the radiator support.

or is the bracket the bent piece i'm seeing?
