Default Cover

Alrighty, so winter is coming up (for me at least!) and I have been able to secure some storage for my car. I really want to get a cover for it and I am looking for something that will be good in the snow...just in cause it has to be outside...

What's a good brand? I am heading to college so price is definitly something that I am concerned about..

Thnaks!

Ive seen some car covers in walmart made by budge. The top one is only like $65 and is water proof with UV protetion. Should be good for snow too. I have the middle one which is a bit cheaper, but I only use it on long weekends & dont have snow.

Nylon or synthetic is not good for the paint, will give you lots of small sratches, cotton is good for the paint but not good if you are gonna keep it outside.

RKsport makes some good car covers. For a custom fit one it will probably be like $100-$150. I know at Costco they have outdoor car covers for $39.

a car cover really isn't too good in the winter. if it snows and freezes, it forms a hard shell on the car. besides that, when it get windy in the winter, which it always does, the cover can wear off the paint from beating against the car constantly and rubbing

you are better off with a real good sealer and wax instead. then the paint can breath better too and condensation will have less of a chance of staying under the hood and mucking everything up too
