Hi guys / gals. I'm new here and have a question on lowering a 85 Z-28. From what I've searched in here and found, the easiest waty to drop the 85 is with lowering springs. I'd like to go down about 2 inches all of the way around. Question is, what else will I have to do, if anything. I've read that I will need to change that bar in the back, that goes from one side to other and some other things that I really don't understand. Any idea's or comments on this? What shocks would be good with this.

I plan on dropping in a 350 4-bolt slightly built, strut tower braces and sfc, what else do I need to look at as far as drivability and handling. This car will end up with a set of good street tires and will never see snow (I hope). Plan is to make this a fast weekend "grocery-getter".

Although I see no advantage in lowering a car, except for esthetics, if you really want to do it properly, purchase a complete lowering kit (springs, shocks, control arm reolcators, bushings, and whatever else is needed) from the same manufacturer. At least in this way everything will fit.
