Door hinges and blown fuses

Door hinges and blown fuses
Well guys and gals, after searching the web for pointers as in how to replace a worn out upper door hinge on my '85 Camaro I decided to follow the directions that came with the hinge from CI.
Four hours later the door now closes properly. The car was also blessed many times during that four hours. LOL....
Now, onto the other problem. The instrument light circuit keeps blowing the fuse. Anyone else have issues with this and a hint as to where to start looking for the short? I swear I saw a spark from the console but am not sure. It was kinda dark naturely. The headlights flashed on and off rapidly last year and after replacing the switch three times I wired relays in and bypassed the plugs under the hood. Since then they have worked flawlessly.
