Default A couple of random questions

Hi there, I hope someone can answermy questions here, so here it goes: First, I am removing the airconditioning, as it no longer worked in the first place, you know, just to free up space, but the core box is attached to the fan, which is a ways away from the hole in the firewall. Is there a way of fixing that? to make it so the heater blower will still work? Second, a radiator shroud. where can i find a place to buy them? Ive looked everywhere, but i cannot find one for a decent price. I also have problems finding a windshield washer nozzle for the passenger side. Im sure thats not all of the questions, but i cant think of them right now.

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Tom

Did you check your local auto parts store for the washer nozzle? I think I got mine at either Autozone or Murrays.

Hey, we did just what you are trying to do on my friends 90....he wanted heat still but didn't want the big A/C unit in there. We took the box off the fire walland smoothed the whole firewall (leaving a hole for the blower motor/fan. Thenwe took the blower fan and made our own sheet metal duct around the fan to aim it into the vent system. We riveted the duct together and caulked the inside to ensure it's leak proof. Then we reconnected the vent doors in the dash. It took a little customizing and some work, but it's sweet. The sheet metal duct is the aluminum sheet metal to match the sheet metal firewall. It blends right in. You could paint the duct to match the firewall too. It is hardly there. It's mostly tucked behind the wheel well on the passenger side. Just make sure you keep the three resistors for the three fan settings if you want to keep the factory functionality. There should be three little resistors for low, med, high. They'reattached to a little black plate you can remove from the stock assembly, which we attached and incorporated into the sheet metal duct. I'll try to see if I can get pics but not sure if he has any....tear into it, it can be done!

MrOz87, i checked advance auto, but not autozone. ill check there and Empire Auto for it.

Raven91Z28, I was thinking that route, but wasnt sure if it would work, so i will infact tear into it and make a custom duct for it.
