If it was the security system, the engine wouldn't turn/crank over at all.
I used to have a 91 a couple of years ago, so hopefully I didn't forget it all!
Mine was an RS 305, and it had a separate coil, not an HEI distributor with the in-cap coil. Is that what you have?
The switched power supply wire to the coil is pink. You want to check that wire with a volt meter and see if you're getting 12 volts when the key is on. There are also three other wires on the other side of the coil that go to the distributor. They are white, black, and pink, so don't get that pink wire confused with the pink supply wire.
When you were checking for spark with a plug, you need to be sure the plug was well grounded. If you have a timing light, you can hook it up to any of the plug wires, or coil wire, and check for spark that way.
If you're getting power to the coil, but still no spark, then the two most likely culprits would be the coil or the ignition module (under the distributor cap). You could have toasted either one of those, for whatever reason, including age.

Than you! I also have the rs 305 with separate coil which is right in frony of distributor, that is what I changed! I will check for spark with timing light and get an ignition module to day after work! I really appreciate everyone's input and help here.

Thank you again everyone! It was the ignition control module! My car is up and running! Nice to know there are still people around willing to help out others!
