Default 2002 Z28 Stuttering, Stalled out, then nothing

I have a 2002 Z28 Convertible, automatic transmission. For several months it has been stuttering and acting like it is about to stall out when I try to accelerate after stopping at red lights while the engine is still cold (within about 10 minutes of first starting the car). Putting the car in neutral and revving the engine while waiting for the light to change helped. It doesn't do it all the time, and it doesn't do it after I have been driving for a while. Originally I thought this might have been a fuel filter or injector problem. However, this morning it did stall out, and when I tried to restart it, there was absolutely no response. No sound at all. There was still battery power, as the radio was still on and the power windows still worked. After about 5 or 10 minutes (after someone helped me push it out of the road) I tried the key again and it started right up. Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem could be?
