Default Bypassing A/C & Heat!? Any Help?

hey guys, so I purchased a 92 RS a couple weeks ago. It smells like antifreeze in the cockpit. I want to remove the air conditioning and heating. How would I go about bypassing this? I've never did this before I'm pretty clueless... Please help lol

no need to bybass the a/c because thats not the problem. sounds like the heater core is the issue. do you lose any coolant or find the carpet wet at all? if so, the heater hoses run up the left side of the engine bay (passenger side) into the firewall. you should see a hose clamp on the end of each. pull them off the heater core line, and put something solid inside and use the hose clamp to keep it in. that would be the easiest way of doing it. you could also make an elbow to connect the two lines together, but i dont think it matters if theyre simply blocked.

I would loop it that way you don't have a line of hot coolant just setting on top of the engine.

Ya know I thought the heatercore was leaking but the carpet has not been wet... I took my ac/heat unit out of the dashboard and there are vaccum hoses? Thats where the smell is coming out of. Okay thanks Micro that's what I had in mind. One other question I'm not to sure out. Someone told me because I have a "smog pump"? on the two lines I can't do that... Does the smog pump matter? They also said with out it, it wont pass inspection?!

Thanks guys
