But if the car is in decent shape, it could fetch a pretty penny even if it needs work.

You probably got a deal from someone who didn't know what he had. Those cars are in major demand, especially one that doesn't need to be completely restored.

 

I would say about 4500 or just a little more.

i, like everyone, likes to think they got a good deal... i paid less than what you guessed or the car.. im looking for an idea of what it may be worth. i fully understand that something is worth only what someone is willing to pay for it.. but, like i said, i know nothing about these cars and there value..

 

Fully restored to original specs you could get 10k+ easily.

However, if it needs any of the convertible parts it's going to be one headache of a restoration.
