82 Firebird worth????
Ok, I know its not a Camaro, but it is an F-body. Approxomately how much is a normally driven 82 base firebird with the 4 cylinder and 5 speed worth? My girlfriends sister wants to get a civic (I don'd have a clue in the world why) and I was thinking if I were to buy it I would have a decent platform to work with. Just a ballpark figure is all I would need. Thanks.

It's impossible to give you an accurate answer without more information. You determine value by considering the model (which you provided), mileage, color, geographical region, options, and condition. The condition and mileage are probably the two biggest factors, although on a car that old mileage is not as important. Perhaps if you provide more information we can help you out.

I'm not sure on the mileage, but its an average MN car, it was driven winters and such, not perfect condition by any means, but not rusted out either. its red but the plastic parts are fading and such. as far as i know it doesnt have all that many options, perfect car to work on since everything is bottom of the line, makes it easier to pull it out and upgrade.

Still not enough information. Why don't you go to www.edmunds.com and www.kbb.com and you can fill in the information yourself. That will at least give you a ballpark estimate on what to offer. I usually use both resources because edmunds is usually low and kbb is higher. Then I settle on something in between the two. Good luck.

The problem with KBB is that they only got back 20 years, to 1987, thats a whole 5 years later, didn't even have the 4 banger option. Edmunds had it though, said around 425. Thanks for the tip though. sorryI couldnt give enough info for you, I just don't have all that much info on it. Thank you though.
