Default 3rd gen stereo speakers

as I was inside my 89 RS project vehicle I notice that it only has speaker grills on the dash. If I want to add 2 more speakers, where would they go to look like factory installs? That is if these cars ever had 4 speakers? Do they go into the sail panel?

I figure since I'm ripping out the entire interior I may as well add some speakers.

thanks

Rear speaker locations are behind the left & right sail panels. They have no grills just the matching cloth cover.

Besides the ones in the sail panels and dash speakers I was able to install two more in the doors.

I type this with a sheepish look on my face. I didn't peek behind the sail panel. I am just going by what I can see. On the 4th gens the grills are obvious. I'll check the sail panel tomorrow in the light

thanks to all

yup, one 6x9 behind each sail panel, should be there or atleast a spot to put them(P.O. could have taken them out)

most people add subs or a sub in the hatch area, and speakers in the door panels

i choose to only keep the 4 speakers(though i changed them to Alpines) because i like to take away weight, and dont really care about how loud or "thumpin" "Bumpin" my camaro can be, i leave that to my Engine and Exhaust
