Default Stereo speakers?

My 2001 SS has some speakers that are in bad shape. I will be getting a set but I find that most places list the car as having 6 speakers if it came with the monsoon system.
The head unit in my car sas Monsoon but I do not hear any noise coming out of the sail panel openings. I can hear the trunk speakers and the door ones but nothing from the panels next to the rear seats.
Are there speakers there, should there be, and in case the ones in my car were removed, should there be wiring there for them?

thanks in advance

all camaros have the rear (back seat speakers) and there should be wiring...if not, it's pretty easy to get wires to there. very easy to change and install. I would install speakers here before I put replacements in the hatch.

Thanks all for your comments. I will look into it and move forward. I only really need the door speakers replaced, the rear ones seem to work well, I just cant crank the volume up without hearing the card board rattle from the door speakers lol.

ok i misread this post. No the middle speakers are not subs. They are not meant to pick up lows. The rear trunk speakers are the ones that pickup the lows. Even for that they suck pretty damn hard. The middle speakers or the rear seat speakers are there on any model car. Sorry to contradict my previous statement i thought you meant the trunk speakers. Anyways yes you should definitely replace these speakers. Just pop off the cover to see if they are still there. If you want to save some money then dont replace the hatch/trunk speakers. They are for subs only and any respectable sub wont fit in that opening.
