2.8 with dead hole
i got a 2.8 with only 80 psi on compression test well it post to be 100 psi . well thinking is it easyer to install a other 2.8 or 3.4 or do big 5.7 we trying to do it in a weekend.
Is this supposed to be in the third gen section? Anyway, you will not be able to do a v6 to v8 conversion in a weekend (especially if its a 4th gen). You will need to get EVERYTHING for the V8 first (your trans will not mate) before you even think about taking what you have out. Going from what you have to a similar V6 Could be done in a weekend, but again, you need everything as to not lose time running around town for stuff that may not be in stock. Even then I would not want to limit myself to 48 hours....just not enough time to do everything correct. Note I listed 48 hours not the 24-30 you'll end up working over the weekend.
For starters, basic comprehension and correct use of the English language will allow us to better help you.
You say you are getting 80 PSI? Is that on all cylinders or just one? Have you done any other kind of testing? What kind of problems are you having?
No, you cant just 'drop' a 350 in there..You MAY be able to drop in an engine (a like 2.8) from a junkyard if you devote every minute of a weekend to the project. Remember, no matter how quickly you get it out...it will take 3x as long to get it back in and get everything hooked up again.
