Yikes ....questions...??Transmissions
Hey guys i haven't really posted a whole lot on the second gen forum more on the 4th gen, but i have some questions because i do have a 77 camaro that i have partially restored. I'm looking to put a 383 stroker into the car and a turbo 400 transmission anyone know of any conflicts with the turbo 400 fitting?? next up what have you guys been doing for the internal gauges, i started with getting a z28 gauge cluster that had the Tach in it but .. it doesnt work very well at all non - responsive, any suggestions on good fitting gauge clusters would be nice
also a key busted off in my ignition over last summer at the end of hte year so right now iam starting the car with a screw driver.. any suggestions on how to get that ignition out??
Its a 1977 camaro plain jane 305 right now with A/C, power windows and power locks - so theres a ton of extra wiring thats a total pain in the butt - planning on getting rid of A/C-
One final question so this car has 2.56 gears in the back and has no throttle response what so ever.. i do plan on getting rid of that 305 and putting new gears in the back but any suggestions on what i can do until i get to the day the motors done- its sitting on the stand 3/4ths complete

I can help you with the trans issue. I have a turbo 400 under my '74 Z28 with no issues. Actually, the funny thing is, I'm abandoning it for a Tremec TKO 5-speed... Lots of fun with the conversion in that.
Also, I'm using gauges out of an '81 Z that work well enough.
