just get a distributor with a composite gear to be safe. also make sure you get the proper intake manifold for your carb specifically for your center bolt heads. i think edelbrock makes one. otherwise you will have some machining to do

Yes the blocks are the same but use a one peace rear main seal for the crankshaft. The heads are a different style and use different bolt pattern for the intake manifold however, they can be adapted. The middle bolt holes need to be honed out with a carbide bit or round file to get the right angle. To see if you have a roller motor just pull out the lifter and see if its roller and if it is pull off the gear and put it on the distributor which i'm asuming is hei? should just grab the ecu and harness and put the full set up in your car i'm doing a mpfi conversion on a gen 1 sbc with my turbosys

sorry also need to pull off fuel pump cover if has one and see if it has push rod hole for fuel pump and check cam to see if has lobe for fuel pump cant remember for sure. if it does great bolt up the pump, if not you will need an electric external holley red or blue work fine or something compatable with that

A roller cam block is different from a non-roller block. It's plain to see in the picture it's not a roller.
