V6 to V8 conversion questions.
So i recently bought an 88 camaro, my last 86 burned to the ground due to my friend being tboned at 70 on the freeway. (my car was on their trailer)
Anyways, i am wanting to know what all i need to do for a v8 swap, it has a v6 multiport in it now and have a 350 ready to drop in.
Do i need a radiator out of a original v8 camaro from the boneyard or will the v6 one work?
I have a t5 trans ready to go in also, so will i need to make changes to mounts or anything even if the v6 thats in it now already has a 5 speed trans hooked up to it?
Did chevy use the same drivelines between the v6 and v8 or will i need to snag a v8 one out of a boneyard also?
One more question is the throttle linkage from the pedal to the carb, do they make kits for that or will i be able to just make it work somehow going from the multiport to carberated?
ps i bought a posi rear end out of a boneyard so no worries rear end wise
I have the motor mounts and what not for the v8 to sit in the car too.
All help is greatly appreciated guys. Im a youngin at only 18 and trying to learn and figure out how to do this. =D

Realistically, if you want a V8 car, sell the car you got, and buy one with a V8. If you go ahead with this, it's going to cost you a lot of money. If you're able to do all of the labour yourself, it'll help a bit. If not, well... My engine swap cost $10,000. And I swapped from a 305 to a 350. So I didn't need a lot of the stuff you're going to.
You're going to need a new transmission, new radiator, new k-member, new engine mounts, new front struts (a V8 is quite a bit heavier than a V6, after all) and new gauges for starters. And it still won't perform as well as an IROC, 'cuz those got a lot more upgrades than just a bigger engine. And you won't even be able to sell it, because people tend to avoid frankencars, which is what yours will be.
