Thank you for your responsesr. I will definitely take all safety precautions. I have used nitrous on a BONE STOCK (1980 L-82 corvette) motor for over a year with no problems so I didn't see any problem at all on this motor just wasn't sure if my particular piston choice was incompatible for some reason. It kind of floored me when he said I wouldn't use nitrous with those pistons, I guess just being overly cautious as this motor wasn't cheap and was built to be driven for years on pump gas. I will have a rev limiter and i believe the msd has a nitrous safety too. As for fuel pressure sensitive shutoff i will do that too. i have a 110 gph pump and an 830 quickfuel ss which seems to run quite rich anyway. I really feel the carb is on the big side but it is what QF, Holley, and BG all recommended as far as size. Btw off subject don't believe what you hear about solid rollers.. I love mine and have only found them out of adjustment once...

There's a lot of BS about solid lifters in both roller and flat tappet cams. People saying they need constant adjustment, or that they somehow loosen themselves up. I've owned a few solid lifter engines, and never had issues like the naysayers quote. I really like solids myself.
