Default What torque converter? 6.0 with 4L80E

Hi, new to the forum, been looking at options for torque converters for my setup and I can’t really hone in on what is the best option. I have 72 Camaro with a stock compression 6.0 LQ4 with a mild cam, see specs below, 650 Holley xp carb, 4L80E stock trans, and 3.42 gears. Any help would be appreciated.

Lift: .525”/.525”
Duration @ 0.050”: 225°/236°
Advertised Duration: 289°/300°
Lobe separation: 110°
RPM range: 2000-6000

What are you plans for the car? How will it be used? Have you every had the motor dyno tuned? Dyno tunes are important for converters. For drag racing you want the engine in the power band before lockup. Of course the car will need retuned once you install the converter for shift points and lock up.

I plan on mainly cruising it with the occasional (rare) trip to the drag strip. It will be about half highway and half in town cruising. I haven’t dyno tuned. I’m going to purchase a stand alone TCU to crontrol shift points and it already has MSD ignition to control timing. Maybe I should just stick with the stock converter until I can dyno tune? I just bought the tranny, so figured it would be a good time to put a better converter in when I put the tranny in, but definitely don’t want to buy something that’s not going to work how I want it. If you have suggestions on which TCU to go with, I’m all ears! It’s been hard making a decision on that.
