This is probably a stupid question but this is my first tranny swap, I went from a TH350 to a monster 700R4, in my 74 Camaro, can I use the same shift lever (BM rachet) from my 340 or do I need to get one with a 4th gear in the gate?

It depends on which model shifter you have. Some B&M's will work with both.
