haven't seen one... is it a classic cam?

 

Setting up a 2nd gen. for the Pro Touring look is totally the in thing now. Just look at just any one of the plethora of magazines. As far as I can tell, none of those guys lowering their cars think it looks tacky. I think the pro touring thing is hear to stay. The cars look, drive, handle better than they have ever before imho. I've owned a few 2nd gens, and have always built them to have a lowered stance as this makes for better overall everything. If you want to try and relive the 70's, then keeping the car stock would achieve that.

 

I'm not sure I'd go so far as to say the Pro Touring look is here to stay. I would agree that it's very popular presently, but fads come and go, and no way to say what might happen in 5-10 years.
From what I've seen with other cars, the older they get, the more money they'll bring in totally stock form. I'm not big on totally stock restorations, as they bore me, but it is the best way to get the highest value for a car, and even more so the older the car gets.
