1974 Rear leaf springs
#2
Best, as in brand or? Doesn't really matter if you go 4 or 5 leaf, as some manufacturers get the same spring rate with 4 that others get with 5 leafs. Either should be fine. If you want to get a lower ride height than stock, you can go to 1"-2" lowering springs. I got my replacements form Summit, and they were good springs.

Stock height might be higher than it sits presently, if you still have original springs. New springs will be much stronger and I'd expect it to sit an inch or so higher at first, and probably take a long time to settle back to where old springs were. I went 2" lowering springs, and they sat slightly lower. I think 1" would have probably been perfect for my taste, and most likely sit where older springs did.
