I took the heads in today. They will get cleaned, checked and decked is need be, $140.
The block machining will hit me for 240-280 depending where I go.
The rebuild kit is 650.
The Jeep was 1700 including tax title and registration.

Less than 3g for a nice rust free family truckster.

OK! you guys ready for this? I got so pissed at my woman last night. I was all set to go out with HER dad and brother for a guys night at the bowling alley ( yes I bowl, yes I'm good) then a tournament. So screw her Jeep. I worked on the camaro.

I did all this last night in about two hours. Took pics this morning.

Here is the finish welding of the close out panel for the fire wall. Had to fab a small patch too.

Then skimmed the panel so I can get it smooth, I warped the snot out of it. Impatience I know. Then it was all about getting it rolling. I had the frame on and mostly square in ten minutes I swear. I've done it three times.

I would have sanded everything smooth but didn't have any paper for my long board.

So her is the profile shots with my new wheels. thats what its all about. I don't think this counts as getting my Magnaflow exhaust in.

Yes ma'am I do use rather large rubbers.

In the end I really did it all because I needed the engine stanto build the 4.7 for the Jeep.

Nope the Jeep is a SOHC design. Two cams. It kind of makes the Northstar motors not look so scarey. The only upgrades I'm aware of a HO cams and thier scarce. The Jeep is the womans DD, that means the reliability of bone stock outweighs performance. When it gets passed to me its getting a SBC and a 6" lift. But that a good five years from now.

yeah i know what u mean,i had a northstar in my fiero before i sold it,pain to work on but run really smooth and very reliable.i know that jeep is a good motor so it will be worth it in the end, good luck on the rebuild.that 3.4 chevy twin cam is also a nightmare but revs really high,my freind had one in his fiero.

I set the motor in today. Wouldn't ya know it. The air box on the stealth ram is flush with he top of the cowl, I could have used the stock hood.
