Right now the 78 is (and I hate to say it) a parts car. I know for sure I will be taking the spindals and probably the front sheet metal. The silver one only came with fenders and it isn't a Z, so I will have to use the nose so sure and maybe the fenders. The shell I would definitly sel. Thats a long haul from Bama though. I don't need the doors either, they are in realy good shape other than my sketchy bodywork. (I painted it when I was 19 under the guidence of an idiot, I'm 32 now)

Nice work. Boy those seats cleaned up great. Is your console beyond repair? I thought I saw one in one of the pics.

LOL you should have seen the chicken poop on some of it. Console is almost perfect and an auto. I have everything for the four speed swap exept the hump and the console.

That made me laugh. Idiots are always so eager to help. LOL. At least you learned a lesson from it.

So I have a question. How do you determine the grade of stainless bolts? My shop has a good selection. I would like to use the for my UCA's but have not determined their grade. Any tips?

Not sure about the bolts but nice project, keep up the good work

It's a shame about the 78 but ya gotta do what ya gotta right, my 78 has that same interior with the 4 speed, it wont be started for awhile so i'll be watching your build to see the finished product.

Cheers
Joe

Well I'm not certain that stainless steel bolts come in more than one grade. I've always heard that SS bolts are all equal to grade 8 so there isn't lower quality when it's stainless.
The standard for bolt grading has always been twice the number of hash marks on the head, so a grade 6 would have 3 marks, and a grade 8 would have 4 marks, but I think this is just for std. bolts.
