So here it goes, my project thread (2nd gen)
lol my wife AKA THE BOSS just told me my budget is gone as well and i still want to paint my car this summer.
Shhh. Mine thinks I spent "about 500 bucks on all those boxes" I am going to try to get some primer ordered next week. As soon as the rain lets up I'll go and get the spindals off the front of my blue car and then start on the rear end.
Good luck
My wife just hands me the credit card bills and says when they're due. She wont cut me any slack like payments. She wants them paid each month when they arrive. She doesn't complain about them if they're paid, and I pay them to make sure she stays happy! As long as she's happy, the car projects can keep moving along!
I'm looking at a 1st gen '68 Firebird soon, and I need to keep her calm. A Firebird gasser will really test her patience!

Alright so lets vote this out. I got all these new suspension parts and can't decide if i want to run inner fenders or show off my pride and joy. The car won't see rain, but maybe a dirt road once in awhile. Battery is going in the trunk regardless.
Just remember if your tires pick up a rock and let it go into the fender you'll have a dent from the inside out! I've seen a few without inner fenders that had such dents, and it's not what I'd choose after getting it all painted and straight!
After getting the spring out, the perches and pads had to be drilled out for the 1/2" u bolts that came in the kit. This part kind of sucked. I had to chisle the brake line tab off because it interfeared with the u bolt that replaces the factory t bolts.

Here is the differance in springs.

Check out those shackles. BEEFY

Adjustable too.

Here is the final product, exept I think im missing a bracket to moun the sway bar to the axle.
