I powdered the brackets for the blinkers and the air inlet vents. I splashed on some red just to see. I like it! Then I PORed the rad support and the inner fenders. I'm still concerned about the pass side. I'll fit the nose this weekend and decide if it is wrong.

I started to sand the inner fenders. There are a lot of factory wrinkles. I'm not too sure how far I should go here. There is one place that I think is damage. Does yours have the bend in the middle near the wire holes

My inner fenders have all sorts of weird bends from the stamping process. I think the dies aren't as tight a tolerance as they are for exposed body parts, so they ripple more.

These are definately from the stamping process. I'm just deciding how far I should go in flattening them before paint.

I guess it depends on how custom or show quality you're going for. I left them all on mine.

I think it has a lot to do with the huge radius they have to make too.

Well I knew there were problems with the pass fender. I had my buddy help and we reinstalled the nose.
I couldn't get the gaps right. So I ground and cut....yuk!! I found layers of rusty metal and a brazed in patch of alum or Stainless.(light and non magnetic). All topped with 3/8" of bondo.

I bought on my local craigslist a fender from an 81. Yes you can get a rubber nose fender to fit a big bumper car! The black is orig. The maroon is new(81). And finally it looks like a car again,if only temp.

Ambitious! The fender looks great! Once it's got paint it will look like it was always one fender.
