OK so I started on the cowl area. Can someone with a non ac car tell me what goes in the cowl area on the Pass side. I've removed the flap that was there and a semi block off plate thingy. I plan to use nothing. I can't figure where the water that drains in should come out? This cowl area conects inside the lower fenders ande must go in side. I see a flap on the pass side but not the drivers.

On the cowl top (Nomad did you do this?) I'm not going to use seam sealer. I'll just bondo it. I want to flatten this area out better than the factory did.
I've sanded and primed it so far. Tomorrow is another day.

Those are my favorite days. Everyone fogets how to drive in snow like they gon't do it half the year. It makes the roads just slick enough to cause trouble. Then the soccer mom in her F150 four door comes screaming by like its 80* and sunny. Smash, they go nice on ice but nothing stops well on ice.

Rant over. I think I'm ready now.

I laid into the cowl with 80g. Then just primed. I'm not trying to add weight. As for the drain its on the bottom where you asked some time ago. I think its near the fender bolt hole but I would have to look to be sure.

Snow is melting!!!Yay!
I'll just drill some holes on both sides.
The pics don't show very well. There were lots of wrinkles and spot welds that I've smoothed out. I have a final coat of bondo on and I'll sand and glaze it later. I have the w. wiper assy off, I'm not sure if I can powder these.Any body taken the bushing apart on one of these? Is there any rubber stuff inside? I have them all blasted and ready to go!

I wouldn't powder coat the wiper assembly. Besides the motor, there's bushings, etc. that wont do well at 260 degree temps used in powder coating. Just shoot them with paint.

I might go that far with my cowl. I thought you meant filling it level, then smoothing it out. I basically did the same on the driverside of the firewall.

I wasn't going to powder the motor, just the linkage in the cowl. I'll probably paint it though. btw powder cures at 400F

Local powder coater told me 250-260 degrees.

Don't use that powder coater then. The powder will not be cured. It needs 20 mins at 400. Clears use 375 to help keep from yellowing. I buy from several supliers and they are all the same! The 20 mins start when the part is at 400. not the oven.
