On your springs, its easier to use the bottom piece of the spring compressor and shove the stud up through the shock hole. This has bee covered over on Trans Am country a few times on Nasty too.

DING DING DING WE have a winner!

I got the one side done alone! It was Still a PITA! But managable.
Thank You 77nomad
I used the hooks about halfway up the spring and the cross bar fork thing under the lower A-arm. This held the spring in the correct orientation as it sucked them down. Then I was able to tilt the lower arm with the springinto position. I still used a come along and jacked it up into the pocket.

It didn't go to the top hole,it was out the bottom hole.

Ok so I now have the other side apart and ready to do. Grind it down,Por 15, powdedrcoat and install new bushings.

Some fit some do not. Val. The one i used on my car didn't fit, then I figured out the springs were short enough to not need it anyhow.

Thanks Damon! Thought I was going crazy, as I'd seen that on NastyZ28, but it didn't fit in mine and I didn't want to drill the hole out.

there was no way that I could have started that spring without a compressor! It still scares the cra* out of you when it snaps or slips on the hooks!

AMEN! When mine popped into the spring pocket it scared the heck out of me! Even the second time when I was ready for it!

Well it was a good day. My buddy came and helped. The 2nd spring went in easily.4 hands to crank, jack the comealong and shove/lever the spring made quick work of it. Ffront end is all together and it has some wheels on it now.

some pics
All pretty parts to go on
details of the spring compressor in use

And the stickiest, gooiest KY I've ever seen. Explains the complaining last night!! LOL

OK so who knows...Are the tail spoilers different for different years. My car is an LT some one aded the spoiler. I have never been able to adjust it right. I don't know if it is from the quarters being added(though they look good) Poorly or a wrong year, or a mismatched set.
It may be difficult to see in the pics.
