Got my heads back to day and am very happy with them. These are old double hump heads casting #461. Had 2.02/1.6 stainless valves and hardened seats put in, also had new springs and retainers put on. Also got my stage 2 intake from Summit this week. Had a slight set back this week so block may have to wait till March.

He surfaced them just to clean them up, he didn't say how much but he made it sound like it wasn't enough to worry about. He was surprised how good of shape the heads were in.

One of the things I've been trying to fix on the Camaro was the trunk lock, it was just gone. I order a kit that said for trunk but just didn't get it. I finally found a lock for a camaro on ebay that had the correct angle and they also had a rod that was different. Well they were the correct parts . The only problem I had was the rod was a little small, so I cut it and welded the two pieces side by side and then ground to fit. Works great.

Great ingenuity Bill!
If for some reason your wipers don't clear the hood, let me know. Not sure if there's a difference, but I have the original wiper arms from my '71 and they're your's if they will clear better than what you have. I found them last week in the canopy while cleaning up to make room for the new gasser project to come home.
