79 Camaro Project

Well I got a nice surprise this morning, my Father in Law comes over and sits down for a cup of coffee and chats for a bit, tells me he has been out riding around since 6:30 going through carrots and looking for signs of garage sales. Then he pulls his phone out and says check out this car I was looking at. This is what I saw. I just got back from checking it out, it is unbelievable! It's going to be back in my garage soon and he is going to start painting the rest of the pieces. Hopefully I'll get the engine back soon, get it installed and start putting things together for the last time.
You can read the lettering and everything in the reflections.

Oh yeah, that is for sure. It is going to be awesome getting it back. I'm in the middle of some home rehab and my garage has subfloor and tile in the way, I have got to get that done so this thing can come home. I just hope that the engine follows suit.

I'm very happy with it. I can't believe how black will reflect like that. I cannot wait until it comes together, I'm having the windows tinted black as well, even the windshield will get a light tint job. It's going to be sharp!

The car is coming back this weekend, just the shell as it is. But we will be able to start rocking on the wiring harness, and interior, and rebuilding the tail lights with the new lens'. My Dad is home again for the summer from his Winter reprieve in Mississippi so he is going to be a good part of this as well. Hopefully the engine builder comes through too, there is going to be some work getting that all together ready to run.
You will definitely be getting better pics once it gets here. And the thread will be getting updated pretty regularly. My FIL was always going to be the one to do the body and paint work, but him getting time to come over here and work on it just wasn't happening. All we needed to do was drag the thing over to his house, then it became a late night thing for him to do. Perfect. He still has the doors, fenders, and trunk and hood, plus the bumpers to do, oh and the fender vents and spoilers, but I'm hoping that we get the engine in, start with the core support and inner fenders, begin the wiring and plumbing stuff, and as things go start getting parts in and begin the final assembly. Can't wait.

It really does! I've never really looked at a black car like this before, I'm absolutely shocked. Everything reflects in it, it is unreal.
