WOW! I plan for a week at the machine shop. I've never had one assembled so I don't know. I can attest to friends screwing me over. I'm a magnet for it. Lost a fresh machined block and a new Scat crank to one. Glad I didn't leave my heads there of it would have been cause for a B and E. Then when I was a teen I broke some laws with a buddy. Stole some stuff and he was the older one putting me up to it. When the heat came down he pointed the police right to me.

I haven't spoken to either in years. Both were like brothers at one point.

Sweet looking project man. My 79 was almost given to me to. Bought it for 300 bucks. Now for rear ends like others said a 10 Bolt can withstand pretty much whatever you will throw at it till you start getting into a serious strip/street machine. I have a Strange S60 rear end. The only reason I went with the S60 was because I had it built to be able to handle upwords of 1500hp/tq. I paid 3700$ for it so it is worth the money and everything is new. Now the downfall is that it is a quite a bit heavier then a 10 Bolt. If you are building a nice street car I would stick with the 10 Bolt and just put a set of gears, posi, and axles in it and that should be fine for your application.

This rear end I have has a set of 4.11 gears, plus the axles look new, new brakes too, I'm happy with it. I think it will do fine for my 425 horse motor.

He was probably putting it off until you called. Sucks, good luck. I see you pulled the advertising down.

Maybe one of the mods didn't like the ad in your signature.

I didn't notice the ad in his sig, guess they start to blend in with the scenery after a while.
If there was one, then I'm sure that's what happened to it. Advertising in a sig, or a post outside the classifieds is a no-no.
