I could get about 3 uses on the black diamond. It seems to get so fine that it will constantly stop flowing. Could be moisture too though. I need to get a good dryer set up for my next blast session.

I do too. I'm collecting the parts. At work we time out desiccate for our material dryers. I have two big, 12"x6" filters that I'm going to pull the cartridge out and fill them with desiccate. Then plumb an extra 20' of pipe in a zig zag pattern on the wall, I hope it works.

I've been doing a ton of computer work this winter being laid off. An old friend of mine just so happens to be an engine builder, I've done a lot of work for him recently in exchange for some engine assistance, plus I'm building him a website too. The engine went to his place last week and he's been swamped getting a couple of race motors done. I think that my engine is going on the block next week. It's funny that it is so close to being done that all it needs are pushrods and intake dropped on, but he is just going to rip it all apart seeing as how he doesn't know what sort of car was taken in assembly (neither do I) and check everything out. I just hope that I don't get talked into a bunch of upgrades... I am going to be helping him too, so I can learn how to do all of this stuff properly on my own, there will be a TON of pictures of the process. Stay tuned.

Thanks, I never thought I would be tearing it down, but I can see where he is coming from, and it should essentially cost me nothing in labor, seeing as how we are just swapping that.

I spent the entire day cleaning the garage and shed yesterday, and ended up pulling the vacuum pump and master cylinder off of the 79. I'm going to be swapping all of the lines over from the 81, and I have another booster to use, an 8" one. The guy I got it off of on NastyZ28 said it was a bolt on deal. It isn't, I'll be posting up pics after a while for insight. The rod that goes into the master on the old one was only sticking out about 1/4", and on the new one about 2". Plus the rod that goes through the firewall are totally different, and the mounting to the firewall are totally different... I'll just need some advice on it is all.

OK, here are some shots of the differences between the two vacuum boosters. The guy I bought this from assured me that it was a bolt on deal, I don't think they are even remotely similar though and I obviously either have the wrong part or I need to get a bracket, different length master cylinder rod, and something to connect to the brake pedal.
