I picked up a brand new set of black door panels today! I do have to take the uppers off of my old ones and put them on there though, although I may just put a wanted ad out for some.

Here are some pics. I'll need the upper door panels for them, but they are nice.

Very nice Steve. Those will help spruce things up in the appearance department.

Thanks, the ones I have look good too, but the backing looks like it had gotten wet at some point. I'm sure that they look fine mounted though. But these will look great I'm sure, I'm keeping them boxed up til I'm ready for them.

Look great Steve! Could you maybe recover your uppers in black to match? Might save some money. My uppers were hard plastic on the '71 and sun baked to a funky looking off color. I cleaned them and recovered the plastic with black naugahyde, and they came out looking better than new.

If I'm not mistaken, it looks like I have enough material to carry this over the top of the uppers? I'm going to have to go and look at the ones I have in there now, I think that is how they are done.

You have to take the curved inner part and fuzzy from the old panel and staple it to the new one.

Well, the more I look at this car, the more I like it. I think that all of the flares and the Z Fenders and probably the nose too are going to get moved over. My current fenders need some rust repair. Without really looking at these off the car, they look like they are solid. Going to get some much needed parts off of this car too, such as the headliner, seats, wiring harness, all the little rubber doo-dads and any material I need to weld up spots on mine, like the rear window channels. I'm going to sell parts off of it as I go too. Only as I know that I definitely am not going to need the parts though.

I've spent the ENTIRE day out in the garage today cleaning it out. I love the garage when it is clean. Which is usually never. But even now it is so much more usable.

Oh boy, I can work again. This should set me up for another mega progress period. It only took me all day to clean up.

What I really need to get is a bigger toolbox. That sucker is jam packed, and there is no way to sort it all. I'll be breaking down and going to Harbor Freight eventually.
