632ci engine installation in 78 camaro
Seemed pretty obvious. He said he was looking at TH400 and BBC combo.
" Has anyone ordered energy suspensions for a sec gen camaro BBC and TH400 trans? Thanks "

There are two different height motor mounts. The SBC from smallest to largest (400) take the same mount. The BBC take a different motor mount. Page 30 of their catalog shows the dimensions, so you can measure your frame pads and determine which mount you need. It should be the "tall and narrow" mount.
Is energy suspension referring to the 400 engine as a small block then? Small block 350 SBC (smallest) to the 400 SBC (largest)? Is this correct?
When you say 2 different height motor mount you mean one height for the small block chevy and another different height for the big block chevy?
I think you'll have to ask Energy Systems if they mean the SBC 400, or the BBC 402? I have no insider knowledge of their catalog, so couldn't answer what their listing means.
As for motor mounts, I can answer the question. On factory BBC 2nd gen Camaros the motor mount was taller, but they also had a different frame mount to go with it. If your car was originally a SBC 350, then you should continue to use the SBC motor mounts when swapping in a BBC engine. If you try to install a BBC using BBC motor mounts the cross bolt wont align on the engine and frame mounts.

Back to Frame/Engine mounts:- The stock engine on my camaro is originally a 305 Small Block, therefore having Frame/Engine mounts for the small block (Clam shell motor type mounts).
Perhaps you told me to use the SBC motor mounts for the 572 Big Block, therefore the 305 mounting stud holes and the 572 mounting stud holes have the same dimensions hole center to hole center? This confuses me....
If you try to install a BBC using BBC motor mounts the cross bolt wont align on the engine and frame mounts Do you mean if using the SBC Frame mounts and the BBC Engine mounts?
Thanks
What he said. Use the mounts that are in the car. If you buy a set of BB engine mounts they wont bolt to the frame side, the hole is off. However if you use a set of SBC engine mounts everything is fine.
SBC 265-400ci (factory) up to 454ci
BBC 396-496 (factory) over 700 in truck pulls and Out Law cars.

BBC and SBC have the same bolt pattern on the block, and same mount location. But a factory BBC Camaro used taller mounts, so you'll need to use mounts for a SBC setup. Since you have the clamshell mounts, just get the polyurethane pieces that go into those mounts, not a whole new mount.
Thanks 77nomad and 1971BB427 for the information.
The frame mounts have 4 bolts while on the frame, there are only three bolts connected to the frame see pic below see what you think .. only one bolt at the bottom of the frame mount

as well there are two pics of the telescopic frame I did

Not sure why your frame mounts don't use all 4 bolts? Your roll around frame is a good idea for the rework. Only thing that would improve it would be wheels with locks, so it wont move when you want it to stay in one place. But you could also make little pocket boxes that each wheel sits in to keep it from rolling when you don't want it to.

Regarding the frame, the front 2 wheels are actually lockable both not to turn and not to roll. The aft ones are not lockable. The frame can also be rise by another 14 inches if required. Thanks for liking my idea. Took me lots of time and effort to finish that frame and money as well. After finish from it, I will sell it here in Malta. Mind you it was my first welding project in my life, cutting and grinding. Love it.
No such thing as a big block 1978 Camaro. Also no such thing as a small block/big block clamshell motor mount, both engines in the early 70's Camaros used the same mount. There are different height mounts, but that is due to vehicle application, not engine option.
