On my 78 camaro, I had Turbo Sonic Mufflers. I think they are from Dyno Max. I will go for the straight through Dyna Max Ultra Flo then will see from there.

I need to level the camaro longitudinally. If I use the top face of the rocker panel as my reference level is this correct?

Only if your floor is level! You need to begin with a level surface, or everything else you do will be off the same amount. You can start with the rocker panel top or bottom, as long as the point you put your level on is smooth, with no welds, bends, or protrusions that would throw the level off. I also use the longest level that the surface will accept. I try to rarely use a small torpedo level, unless it's the only option. I have 2',3', and 4' levels, and use them all when I'm doing chassis or suspension work.

Thanks for the tips. Will post some pics as soon as the car will be on the frame. I used the flat surface of the top rocker panel (took the paint off to bare metal to make sure there are no hidden defects)
Thanks again

Hi, I need to order energy suspension mounting set for the 572 engine and TH400 gearbox. From their catalogue http://www.energysuspension.com/asse...on-catalog.pdf there is 350 and 400 second generation engines. Do I need to go for the 400 engine set? Has anyone ordered energy suspensions for a sec gen camaro BBC and TH400 trans? Thanks

There are two different height motor mounts. The SBC from smallest to largest (400) take the same mount. The BBC take a different motor mount. Page 30 of their catalog shows the dimensions, so you can measure your frame pads and determine which mount you need. It should be the "tall and narrow" mount.
