Hello guys, more parts to the soda blasting....... Finally I am seeing the parts coming as new....... Will post some pictures later on. Almost 60% of the metal parts are ready from blasting and epoxy sprayed. I am preparing to take the body.

Um there that big because they have been saying their prayers and eatin their vitamins brother. My Camaro once ate a whole Citroen and then crapped out a Mini Cooper. WTF???

All Camaros from the very beginning were heavy cars, but much lighter than the new Camaros are! I never paid much attention when I bought my '71 in 1973, as I just assumed they had to be lightweight cars. I was shocked when I rolled it on the scales and it went 3750 lbs. with it's BBC engine! I just never really read much on their specs until I saw that, and then started checking to see if it was all of them, or somehow just mine!
I tried to reduce weight when I was racing mine back in the 70's, but it was very hard to trim much weight when you're adding rollbars, and other stuff. I finally gave up and concentrated on making the 427 stronger. It was much simpler to add HP, than try to put it on a diet.

Its called a 5 mph bumper. Vall, my car was close to that with a small block. The AC didnt help much. I will be close to 3200 easy when I'm done. I have taken so much weight off the front my suspension doesn't compress enough to bolt the shocks on the front. I will have to cut coils at some point because it lifted so much. I was blaming the shocks for the longest time until I talked with the suspension guy. He is thinking I pulled a bunch of weight because my shocks measure up correctly they just aren't long enough.

Hello how is everyone doing? Does any one know what radiator dimension is needed to keep that 572 in its proper operating temperature??

I need to know the dimensions so that I will order the radiator now and see how it fits in the stock radiator core support panel or see if any modifications is required.

The temperature here in Malta is around 12 degrees Celsius in winter and around 35 degrees Celsius in summer. I do not know the normal operating temperature of the engine.

Any suggestions please?? Thanks

Why order a custom one? Be cool stocks one with fans and all. Bolts right in.

Yes, there are many off the shelf radiators available that will cool your 572. Be Cool, Griffin, etc. all make radiators that are bolt in. Most likely your stock radiator was smaller in width, and thickness than a big block radiator, so when swapping to the BBC radiator you will need to open up your radiator support. You can look at it and see where it's factory stamped for the larger opening. (at least the earlier Camaros were) If yours is not marked, then simply order the larger radiator, and when mocking it up you can measure and cut the opening larger to accommodate the wider core.
You'll want the larger 26" core and at least two 1" rows on an aluminum radiator, but 1.25" will be even better! I'd also not buy an epoxied core, and I'd get a welded aluminum tank and core. These radiators will be around 31.5" wide, but still retain the stock 19" height that fits in your existing mounts. They will need a new top hold down to work with the larger width.

What does it mean not buy an epoxied core and get a welded aluminum tank and core? The only tank I have is a plastic tank for the stock radiator. Are we referring to the same tank?
