Coolers with a fan are good if you want to mount the cooler under the car where it wouldnt normally get airflow. They are no better than sitting in the wind except they cool while the car is idling in traffic.

Yes you are right. But for my application, I will use a radiator with a cooling fan since we do not have long roads where the airflow will be constant for x amount of time through the radiator and since the temperature in summer is very hot, and most of time traffic. At lease the fan can be on when the car is idling as you said.

Do you know what should be the operating temperature and what diameter and material should the extension pipes from the transmission to the radiator should be? If I manage to find the material and correct diameter I will bend the pipes and flair the ends my self. What pressure should I have on the pipes? Thanks

You shouldn't need a fan on the trans cooler. At idle the trans wont build much heat, and moving there's enough air flow to naturally cool the trans cooler. Lines aren't normally hard lines to a trans cooler; they are usually hard lines up to near the cooler, and then flex lines after that. Not huge pressures, so fuel line is plenty good for the final connection. If your car is an automatic now, the present lines will do fine for the new trans. Just cut them before the radiator, and route them to the cooler. I personally prefer the trans cooling lines to go to the cooler, and isolated from the radiator, as it keeps the trans even cooler than running through the radiator and then the trans cooler.

No big tires on my car, stock wheels with 255/60/15 in rear and 245/60/15 in front. Not a drag car, just street use. Cruise in's, car shows and cruising to work when it's nice out.

Yes the trans is automatic standard. What about when installing a transmission cooler. Do I need to bleed the system? How must it be done, fill the trans cooler with oil as well? Thanks

That should be pretty high ratio for the street? How do you find the supercharger on the street? How is it on fuel consumption? Did you build the engine your self?

No, the cooler will require a small amount more trans fluid, but just check the dipstick and add to full mark. No bleeding, as it's not a sealed system like brake system.

OK understand.
What stick shifter can be installed with the TH400. What type of shifters do you recommend? Thanks.

Does the TH400 with a manual valve body has kick/shift down?

No the TH 400 with a full manual VB wont. I would run 3/8"/10mm line on the trans. Typical trans pressure is 175-225psi (12-15.5 BAR) if I remember right. I know it wont go past 300psi (20 BAR) unless something is terribly wrong. I did the conversions for you to make it easier to understand the pressure your dealing with. I too would only run a fan on the cooler unless it was mounted somewhere besides in front of the radiator.

I prefer B+M or Hurst. Both are fine. Actually as long as you stay away from the cheaper B+M/Hurst ones, they're all good. But you will need one that shifts PN321. So there's no chance of even using a cheap one. With the money you've spent so far. I would use this...
