The only thing I would worry about that is its water retention. If it gets wet how well does it do drying out? You don't want something that will hold water and expedite the rust process.

Some of that stuff is good for use in basements. I am thinking it would be fine. Definitely something to look into.

If it's the stuff for hardwood floors it should be fine, but don't use the stuff made for carpet pad. That stuff will hold water like crazy.

ATM is correct, they use this in basements, so it's quite good. I had the same concern you had and went ahead and "spilled" some on a sheet and it worked fine. It did absorb some water, but not much.

Also, just as a precaution i left the blue backing on there, which is plastic. If you remove it it's an adhesive backing, but i left it, thus allowing for more water resistance.

Looks great! I am redoing my 77 camaro. How do you remove rear seats?

Lift straight up on the backs. They have a set of clips that you basically just drop them down onto. On the buckets you push back and then pull up IIRC.

Thanks. And what kyphur said about removing the seats is correct. However, i'd be careful if i were you. Mine were stuck in their really bad, so i did something that now, looking back, was rather stupid. I squatted down, grabbed the seat and lifted. It took a lot of force but the seat finally released... That's when my head made contact with the roof of the car and i received a concussion. Lol, no joke.
