All of my instructors have flat out told us that most of the crap that were learning won't be used on the jobsite very often if ever so I'm guessing it's all really just for a piece of paper to hang on the wall and say yeah I learned that.

 

About the time you think you will never use it it is about the time you forget how to do it.

 

Alot of my classes lean toward circuit design. The fact that we get that deep actually makes the techs that come out of my local college kind of more in demand around here. We get alot of time using oscilloscopes, I hear some schools barely cover their operation.

 

Yeah, about the time you forget is when the need finally comes. Then you have to look it all up again!

Well haven't posted in awhile cause I haven't done much to the maro, work needed the flood light back so I haven't had light in the shop but I got my harbor freight floods yesterday so now I gots my own shop lights! for ten bucks a piece these lights are great too.
ran out of wire last time I worked on it and sure enough this time I ran out of gas so I switched to the sawsall and took out most of the inner wheel wells now I can actually fit my tires kinda lol only have about an inch/inch and a half but with the coil overs I should have more.
I think I'm gonna use half my tax return and get some parts well probably one since a full quarter panel is like $350 and I'm sure they rape me on freight but I should be getting a tutoring check like next week about the same time as my refund so hopefully all will go well.

I'm also stripping the 240sx for paint, I have new bumper for it and a shiney $400 carbon fiber hood since they don't make steel ones for it and wyoming is gay and didn't have any salvage hoods but it's pretty slick the hood is bigger then my honda fiber glass hood but weighs way less, it's actually like 18.5lbs.

School has been going pretty decent, biggest issue is having patience with my drive trains partner who is.... slow in more ways then one but I've got like 5 people who are signed up for my luch break tutoring study group so I'll be geting like $25 a week after taxes and I've been invited to pi theta kappa honor society and alpha nu si leadership and success society or some greek crap like that they both have one time fee's of like $70 but I should be able to get scholorships to reimburse those fee's and it's supposed to look good on resumes.

Thats a big tire. Is the 1" box tubing how your going to mount the sheet metal? Congrats on school. I was pie tada crapper.

Good idea! You wont need to form support ribs into the sheetmetal with the tubing as a frame work.
