I got an 81 Camaro...I was wondering if the rear package try can be taken out...Mine looks like crap and I have extra carpet I want to put over it.....Any Ideas would be helpful....

you might want ot just buy a new tray. the rug isn't going to look good up there and it will be like a catch-all for everything that ever blows in your window

I'll make sure I'll do that....But I definetly need focus on paint....engine and wheels and tires first....

rims and tires can either make or break a car so have fun with picking them out. your car has so many rims that will fit

Well, I'm late with the response, good thing you found out the way to remove it, its easy. On a '79 I had I reupholstered the package tray myself. I glued a layerof high density foam over it, then another layer that I had cut with the bowtie logo shape. Then I glued and molded carefully black fabric over it and it came out really nice, because the logo was a subtle effect,It was really cheap to do also.

With the same technique I also reupholsteredthe door panels, I saved a bundle on what an upholstery shop would have charged me.
