The guy i bought my 97 Camaro RS from said that my car has the "proformence package" on it, he said it was geared different, and a couple of other things. Did such a package exist for a v6?

 

No. You get RS body kit and badges. Gearing is the same. Unless yourshasthe Y87 package. Way to tell that quick, is look to see if you have disc brakes.

You should have 3.42 gears. Check the code on the sticker on the driver's side door. Code should read GU6. I, unfortunately do not have this package on my RS.

 

yup there is a GU6 in there Cool never knew i had that, or that it existed, i just thought the guy was full of it. That would explain why i have all those options.

acctually the RS was only from 96-97 after that it was called sport appearence package .
im just cool and i say my 98 is an rs [:@]

HEY I HAVE THE SAME PACKAGE.... never knew that actually.. but i also have the disk brakes.. ill check the code on my lunch..
