Default Dummy Lights....

I got a 81 Camaro... How much work would it be to exchange my dummy lights in the dash for gauges....I have no tach...I've seen some late 2nd Gens with a small gas gauge and and big tach next to the speedometer....I have a big gas guage next to my speedometer....Is it hard to put a tach in and downsize my gas gauge???

what I used to do when I was buying those year Camaros is I would cutout the smaller circular areas in the dash (one of them might have the clock in it) with a dremel and mount the smaller Autometer gages in there. the gages come with clamps that come from behind the gage and work great

How easy is that....Im wondering that there might be too much room for error....Im pretty handy for being a Senior in High School...but I really would hate to screw somthing like that up...Do you know if there is was a site or a way to convert them by getting a different cluster out of maybe like a 78' or 79' Camaro??

it is actually really easy to do. it would be very hard to screw up. going aftermarket is way easier than trying to change clusters.
