Default Muncie shifter too far away.

I have a Muncie 4 speed in my 72 SS Camaro the shifter had slight bend but I'm Rev, 1st and 3rd the shift **** is almost touching the dash. I am 6'2" tall and reaching to shift makes shifting a chore is there aftermarket shifters that will move the shifter closer to me? And also if there is I did not have a console in the car but wanted to add one will that still be possible with the angled shifter? Thanks for everything I would of put this in Driveline section but I could only view and not join that forum to post.

Pictures might help here,I'm guessing it's an aftermarket shifter probably Hurst?
A different lever might be all you need, some are straight others curve back.
There's quite a few different configurations.
If it still has a Muncie shifter I'd be surprised, most got canned in favor of a Hurst decades ago.
Maybe a shifter lever like this (shown on a Ford trans) would help?
