Default 74 headliner on a 70

Will the 74 style headliner(which is a molded piece) work on the 70? I'm guessing some modification will be required but how much? Just seems easier than the bows

No, it wont work. The bows are very simple, it's the edges that get a bit trickier. I did mine myself, and had never done one before. It was not that hard, and I did it working around my rollbar, so without that it would be even easier. If you look at my build thread, I covered it pretty well there, and discovered some tricks to make it easy for me. It's at the bottom of the first page:

If your bows are rusty, Home Depot sells rods that are the same size and can be cut to length, or you can clean and paint your's to get them smooth so they slide. The headliners come with new plastic clips to hook into the rods. Start in the middle bow, and work out each direction, then pull it to the sides. Once you've got it all clipped and test fitted, then you can remove the clips and start gluing the edges.
