What did you do to your camaro today

I started my floor pan replacement today. Going to be a slow process I think. I found quite a bit more rust than I expected so a lot of piecing of fab'd panels to come. I wish more of the sheet metal panels were available.

I tackled my sons loose steering column today. Pulled it apart and tightened up the four bolts with reverse torx heads. She is nice and tight now, made sure to use red loctite on the threads. It was well worth the pain of taking apart.

Great work on your windows TruSiaki. The deference is ''night and day''. bad-joke-that-had-to-be-done.jpg lol
My 350 had a coolant leak from the thermostat housing. It was the chrome kind from Autozone that was on it before the rebuild. No matter what I did, it would leak. I got tired of messing with it and went back to the stock style one.

Make sure you measure out where those rear seat clips go before cutting anything out! You'll need to reuse them on the new pans.

Thanks for the advice Val! I'm going to have to fab a panel for the rear seat pan as I haven't found anyone that sells one ready made. I'll be cutting just enough out and replacing it with good sheet metal. I have a friend who restores English cars who will make any panels that need shaping if I take him a template. I remember watching Powerblock TV and wondering why they did it a small piece at a time, now I know! I'm still debating whether I will replace the whole floor pan sections or just the area that is rusted. On the TV show they recommended avoiding replacing good metal to keep more strength in the floor.

FINALLY! got my car running. Finished the overhaul of the drive train; replaced the flywheel, clutch, tob, shifter, tranny, and drive shaft.
Started on the interior. Figured I couldn't drive with the sub column piece resting on my shins. Started ripping the dash out, and found a great condition pad for $100.
