I take off the tighter spring and try it; if it still feels OK you're good to go.

It got my new tires installed on a set of ralley wheels i had. once installed discovered that the right rear rubbbed. New leaf springs are in the forcast but not in the budget. Had to install shackle lift kit to clear the tires till i get the cash for new springs. Pics willl be up soon

You could run it like this and have two springs AND less tension.Name:  010-6.jpg

The smaller one is inside the bigger one. As long as one spring snaps the throttle back good and tight, you'll be ok.

I had it set up like that too and it was still stiff
